Tonik is a business inspired by a passion for adventure and fashion. Tonik's creator, Kristi Rowley, started her career in the southern California surf industry. She began as a buyer/manager for a small boutique chain, and years later became a sales representative. Throughout her time in the surf industry, Kristi knew she was accumulating valuable experience that would better prepare her for fulfilling her career dream: owning and operating her own store.

In November of 2000, three years after moving to Mammoth Lakes, CA, Kristi and husband, Aaron, opened The Powder Room - a women-specific snowboard shop and fashion boutique. In 2003, Kristi and Aaron created a new space, added men's apparel, and gave it a new name: Tonik. The journey continued. In 2013, Tonik moved into its current location, enjoying more space, better parking, and a closer connection to the community.

Today and always, Tonik represents 'California Style': casual, adventurous, hip, and funky.

Owner and operator, Kristi, is more passionate than ever about creating visually in the store, living an active outdoor lifestyle, enjoying cherished relationships with customers, and taking a stand for family-owned businesses.
